Publications

The Manchester Geological Society publishes a quarterly newsletter throughout the year as well a being involved with the Liverpool Geological Society and GeoLancs in publishing an ad hoc journal called the Northwest Geologist. The Society has also published a book about some of the building stones in the City of Manchester.

As part of the Society’s 100th year celebrations in 2025 we are also in the process of producing a new Trail Guide for the Geological Association that will include several walks examining some of the geology that the Northwest Region has to offer.

In addition to these, the MGA have also produced several articles for its members, which we will eventually edit and upload to this website.
